Registration Process

Choose a sport, age division, and three preferred sites. Then after registration closes, Youth Sports staff will review all registrations, create teams based on people’s preferred sites, and place teams into citywide leagues.

Team formation takes several factors into consideration, including site capacity and field availability, location, and friend requests. Please make sure to select up to three preferred locations when registering. If your first choice is full, we will place you at your second or third choice. If no additional options are selected, we will assign a nearby location based on availability.

Each participant may request one friend to be placed on a team with.

  • All friend requests must be reciprocal, meaning both participants must select each other and the same location.
  • Siblings are automatically placed together unless you request otherwise, so please be sure to note sibling relationships during registration.
  • If two (limit of two) adults request to co-coach, their children will be placed together by default.
  • When multiple teams are formed at the same site, coaches may be assigned to different teams to ensure each team has a certified coach.
  • When a site has reached capacity, registration timing can affect friend request placement.

There are not exceptions to the friend request policy. MPRB Youth Sports are great for helping young athletes build new connections, meet new friends, and grow through team experiences.

Schools and youth-serving organizations can choose to enter full teams into a Partner League. Use the Youth Sports Partner League Team Declaration Form to declare a team.
