Due to the warm temperature and lack of snow, the Loppet City of Lakes Nordic Ski Festival events have been moved to Theodore Wirth. This means that Theodore Wirth Parkway will be closed on Friday from 6 to 10 pm, Saturday from 7 am to 4 pm and Sunday from 7 am to 4 pm.
Shuttles will run from the Mortenson Co. building on Hwy 55 and Wirth Parkway and Optum Health Center on Douglas Drive and Golden Valley Rd.
The tubing hill will remain open regular hours Saturday (10 am-8 pm) and Sunday (10 am-6 pm).
The snowboard hill is closed during the Loppet, and will reopen Wednesday, February 4.

The Clubhouse at Theodore Wirth Park is modeled after a Swiss Chalet and is available for rentals such as wedding receptions and other parties of up to 150 people. The Fireplace Room has a vaulted ceiling, large wood burning fireplace and the warm feeling of a rustic lodge. Our event consultant may be reached at 612-328-2263 to discuss pricing and availability.

Head out for some exercise with your four-legged friend this winter! Skijoring is available in the Front-9 and in the J.D. Rivers/Wirth Lake areas. For safety reasons, skijoring is not allowed on the remainder of the Theodore Wirth trails.
We have a day of fun planned for kids ages 7 and older at the Wirth Winter Recreation Area! Camps include beginner cross-country ski lessons, beginner Learn-to-Ride snowboard instruction, snow tubing, rental equipment, plus lunch and warm refreshments in the Wirth Chalet.
