Working parents searching for an affordable quality school-age childcare program need look no further! The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board offers Rec Plus for children ages 5-12 at neighborhood recreation centers.
Rec Plus focuses on three goals:
1. Providing parents with affordable recreation based school-age care in local park centers
2. Enabling children to experience positive benefits of a balanced recreation program
3. Providing a safe environment for children that promotes healthy physical and social development
Children will play games, create art, gain confidence and have fun! The program offers children opportunities to learn sports, get exercise, go on field trips and make new friends.
Fees are based on choice of program. Partial fee assistance may be requested by qualified Minneapolis residents. Parents should contact their desired Rec Plus location for space availability and complete registration information.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board charges individuals not residing in Minneapolis a leadership fee of 50 percent more for Recreation Plus.
