From helping plant a public garden to establishing an endowment, there are many ways you can enhance the parks, trails, gardens and programs of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
Minneapolis Parks Foundation supports projects that enhance our connection to nature, beautify our park system, benefit and provide opportunities for all ages and cultures, build a sense of place and of community, prioritize sustainability, and exemplify high quality and state of the art. Giving options include individual donations, wills, bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and gifts of life insurance.
People For Parks is an independent non-profit organization that enables park users and citizens to contribute to improvement of the Minneapolis Park System. Projects have included the Lake Harriet picnic shelter, inoculating trees against Dutch elm disease, maintaining Victory Memorial Drive and the Lake Harriet Band Shell 5K Run/Walk. Giving options include individual donations, memorial pavers and benches at Lake Harriet, planned giving such as wills and bequests, and support from community foundations.
